The hall’s main attractions are the frescoes by Károly Lotz and Mór Than that have been restored to their original beauty and the ornamental paints around them.
During the planning process we needed to find a way to incorporate the technical elements that are necessary for the functioning of the railway station (large scale digital timetables, kiosks), as well as to choose the appropriate design for the flooring that contains the tactile line markings. We reconstructed the lighting system on the basis of a single photograph taken by György Klötz.
