Location | Budapest, 7th district, Keleti pályaudvar
Planning | 2003-2005
Implementation | 2004-2008
The hall is 16 metres high inside, and is adorned by 8 frescoes by Károly Lotz and 1 fresco by Mór Than, all of which were in need of restoration after the first World War. It was then that the simple, geometric pattern of the decorative painting seen today was created, which does not follow the original richly ornamented design of Róbert Scholtz, but rather the artistic trends of the years after the first World War.
